When it comes to the love of sports, team spirit and civic pride no other city comes close (at least no other city that we’ve seen) to rivaling Pittsburgh in our home state of Pa. Nicknamed the Steeler Nation, when football’s in season the black and yellow can be seen anywhere and everywhere.

You may not understand it if you’ve never been to Pittsburgh but in this town the Steelers aren’t just a football team, they’re a way of life and for some, even a religion!

It should be no surprise then that the team with the most NFL wins is teetering on the idea of hosting a Super Bowl game themselves. Pittsburgh has hosted the World Series, AFC championship games, the NHL Winter Classic and the Stanley Cup finals so the premier event in American sports would be right at home.

In many people’s minds Steel City is the birthplace of professional football anyway. And while that’s a matter of opinion, what’s not debatable is that Pittsburgh certainly has a great tradition of being a football kind of town so whether or not they host a Super Bowl game will have to be seen.
